So I’m back in Italy, back in Rome, in what it’s supposed to be my home. And for how exciting and beautiful Rome is, I’m still struggling with homesickness from California, from the US in general. The ‘culture shock’ is a real thing, but I will talk about it in another post.
What I discovered though is that in order to avoid sadness you have to get out of the house, ‘Duh, also thanks for the hot water, Giulia’ . So I’ve been going around Rome, either with friends or by myself, and just walked, stopped for an occasional cappuccino or a gelato, and then kept on walking. Everytime I discover new corners and places, rediscover old ones and I am amazed by the beauty of the Eternal City.
Although, I am very excited for my next trips to London and Madrid in 2 weeks. Any tips about these two European cities? Any must-dos? Any places where to eat?
